Does Ella have side effects?

While all medication interacts with each individual differently, Ella is considered very safe and side effects are not common. There are no documented cases of dangerous complications related to taking Ella.

After taking Ella it is common that your next period may come earlier or later than when you are used to. Additionally, your period may be lighter, heavier or spotty—or it could be totally normal!

Nausea is not a common side effect, but if you get an upset stomach and throw up within two hours of taking Ella, it will not work and you need to take another dose of Ella.
