Do I need a phone consultation with a provider before receiving my medication?

Certain state telehealth regulations require synchronous communication (like an audio-only phone call or a video visit) with a clinician prior to providing care. Regardless, a provider will always review your request prior to prescribing a medication, and will communicate with you over Secure Message.

If the provider reviewing your request believes that this treatment option may not be medically advisable based on your medical history, the clinician will provide a reason for the denial and a recommendation for alternative services.
