Unfortunately, recurrent BV is common and there are some strains of antibiotic resistant bacteria that can cause BV. If you continue to experience symptoms after completing your round of antibiotics, talk to your clinician. You may need to see an in person provider to run tests to determine the most effective medication to treat your infection. The provider will likely suggest a different antibiotic to fight the infection.
